WELCOME TO KYLE MACDONALD'S THESIS PORTFOLIO
At the cornerstone of an expanding medical district, The Medical Center enhances an expansive network of hospitals in Southeast, USA. The Medical Center consists of three multi-story inpatient towers, housing 446 hospital beds. The project is scheduled to be completed in November 2015.
Throughout the Fall 2015 semester, I will be studying and analyzing the existing building's overall structural design and individual structural systems. In addition to my preliminary study, I will develop a proposal for the redesign of the structural system of the existing building. The building redesign process will be executed throughout the Spring 2016 semester. I welcome you to visit the site throughout the upcoming year for updates.
ABOUT CPEP
The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
